2019 ARCHITECTURE WORKSHOP

Middle school aged girls got to learn about the basics of architecture and engineering from two industry professionals. They got to build their own geodesic domes and even received a visit from New York State Senator Jessica Ramos and U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. We thank these leaders for their support!

2021 Performance of “The Prize”

“The Prize” tells the story of Dr. Patricia E. Bath, the first female African American doctor to receive a medical patent. Dr. Bath used her invention to restore sight in many people who were blind.

This play was created and produced for us by Cindy L. Cooper, a prolific and award winning playwright, journalist, and author.
